Cosmetic Dentistry

Rejuvenating and brightening your smile is the most powerful way to improve your appearance.

Cosmetic dentistry is a Creative way to make your teeth and your smile shine!

It may be as simple as a teeth whitening system to whiten and brighten our existing smile, or you might choose to have a more involved process such as replacing existing silver filling with tooth colored fillings. Maybe even crowns or porcelain veneers? With over 30 years of cosmetic dentistry experience, we can help you achieve that “Hollywood Smile!”

Teeth Whitening

Pure white teeth are not natural... REALLY! White teeth have to be made to look that way.

Teeth lightening or whitening” (bleaching) can be an effective, safe, fast way to change the way you look and feel about your most important facial feature, your beautiful smile. Your teeth have various shades from yellow to gray. Achieving the "pretty white teeth appearance" can only be done by enhancement products. This is considered a cosmetic treatment that can be therapeutic for a person overall outlook about themselves.

Teeth are discolored due to many reasons. Some of these are: genetics, ageing, medication especially tetracycline, staining from tea, coffee and tobacco.

How white will the teeth be? This varies person to person. Most patients achieve positive results with minimal rebound shade. With good oral health care and regular hygiene appointments your smile can remain whiter than the average person.

Does Whitening work? YES..............

  • Reasons to have whitening done:
  • The first and most important reason to whiten your teeth is your smile. It makes a person look younger, feel more confident, attractive and outgoing.
  • You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
  • Cost effective and timely results.
  • If you ever dreamed of having a white-bright smile, you should have it!
  • Based on your individual needs, our dental professionals at Creative Smiles will design a personal customized treatment system. This is the best way to properly and safely whiten you teeth.

We are currently offering 3 types of teeth whitening:

(1) Power Whitening is an in-office procedure. This is the fastest system our dental health care professional team uses. It involved taking custom models (Impressions of your teeth) that are an exact duplicate of your mouth. These models are used to make custom trays that fit perfectly over your teeth. Then at a two hour appointment visit, the patient uses the custom fitted trays with the powerful hydrogen peroxide gel solution. During this appointment the power solution gel is in direct contact with the patients teeth. The product starts to lift the color from the teeth through oxygenation of the molecules. This reaction breaks down the color trapped within the dental enamel. After this appointment, the dental health professional will design a personalize sequence of at-home therapy care. The patient will continue to use the trays and bleaching solution gel in molded trays at home as prescribed by the dental heal professional. Sometimes the use of home fluoride is used in the custom trays before continuation of the whitening because of sensitivity. This bleaching procedure is usually completed in approximately one week time period.

(2) At Home Whitening uses the same type of custom made bleaching trays. This system involves the patient to use the trays and bleaching solution gel every night This is designed for the compliant patient who will continue the bleaching system till desired results are obtained. This system will sometimes require the use of home fluoride in the custom trays before continuation of the whitening because of sensitivity. This bleaching procedure is usually completed in approximately 2 to 4 weeks.

(3) Whitening strips are consumer driven product to be used as a totally at-home whitening system. This system requires daily dedication using whitening strips by placing a strip on the teeth for a short period of time twice a day. The strips can be sloppy and ill fitted to the teeth. This system is not recommended for patients whose teeth are not perfectly straight like by orthodontics because the strips do not fit into the spaces or poor position of teeth. The strips slip and do not stay located on the teeth but can cause the patient's gums to become irritated and sensitive.
