Creative Smiles Affirms Preventive Dentistry a Money Saver

A visit for preventive dentistry services twice a year minimizes potential long-term costs associated with dental repair and restoration, says Creative Smiles of Columbia, SC.

Preventive dentistry stretches far past simple brushing and flossing at home,
it also includes routine checkups from a dentist. Having cleaning, x-rays, and other preventive care conducted by a dental professional will keep teeth in the best possible shape and help to detect any problems early so that they can be addressed before they become serious enough for surgery.

Along with making sure teeth get a good deep cleaning, routine preventive dentistry will check for abnormalities such as cavities, periodontal disease, and other factors that could lead to oral cancer. When detected early on, the treatment process is easier and much less painful than if left unattended to be found at a later date.

According to Dr. Paul A. Feuerstein of Creative Smiles,
the easiest way to keep a mouth healthy is with routine preventive dentistry. “At Creative Smiles we help the patient with preventive dentistry by not only servicing and examining the teeth during a checkup, but also by helping the patient understand proper dental procedures that need to be conducted at home in-between checkups,” said Feuerstein. “Our patients are thrilled with the difference that just two visits per year make and love how their smiles look. Best of all, because we can nip most problems in the bud, we can not only keep our patient’s teeth pain free, but their wallets as well.”
